The High Art of Construction: fischer Fastening Systems in the Louvre Abu Dhabi

For the first time, a museum outside of France bears the prestigious name Louvre. Just like the 600 exhibits, the newly constructed exhibition temple in Abu Dhabi is a unique work of art. fischer has laid the technical foundation for this. A new masterpiece adorns the coast of Abu Dhabi. Its dome sparkles in the sun.

The building on the Persian Gulf is considered the first universal museum of the Arab world with its collection of diverse artworks from the Middle East and the West. This futuristic building is the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which opened its doors to visitors in November 2017 and received great acclaim.

Various fischer systems for fastening power lines, as well as pipes for sanitary installations, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Spectacular Dome

Almost as spectacular as the collection is the building designed by the French star architect Jean Nouvel.

It stands out especially because of its flat, silver dome with a diameter of 180 meters, which is stretched over 55 white cubic buildings.

It consists of stacked steel and aluminum layers in a star pattern, creating an irregular mesh of openings.

Sunlight falls through these holes, casting spots of light onto the buildings below and giving the dome a lightness that makes it appear to float.
