Delta Holding is one of the most significant economic factors in Serbia and one of the largest investors in the region. The holding company provides a variety of services, such as in the agricultural sector, real estate, and wholesale trade. The new headquarters now creates room for further growth. This includes a new office building, which was constructed from 2019 to July 2021. Its ventilated curtain wall (VCW) features fiber cement panels that provide a modern and representative appearance. The client was Delta House from Belgrade. The responsible planning and engineering office was Centroprojekt d.o.o from Belgrade. Additionally, the construction companies Energoprojekt Visokogradnja a.d. from Belgrade and Dma Koping d.o.o. from Belgrade were commissioned.

fischer undercut anchors enable the secure anchoring of facade panels, which is concealed on the outside. This ensures a harmonious building appearance. At the same time, the undercut anchors allow for simple and fast installation. The FZP II T PA version was used. This fischer Zykon panel anchor is specially designed for the concealed fastening of thin fiber cement facade panels and is therefore ideal for the application in Belgrade. The fischer FZP II was installed in the versions FZP II 11 x 5 M6/T/11 PA and FZP II 11 x 5 M6/T/13 PA.
“Nails and screws are visibly apparent when fastening fiber cement boards on the facade. It is different with the application of our Zykon board anchor FZP II T PA. Here, the fastening points on the facade view side are executed concealed,” says Alen Ilic, Technical Advisor at the Austrian national company of the fischer group. “This is made possible by the form-fitting and completely expansion-pressure-free fastening in the conically undercut drilled hole. Thanks to its short geometry and other technical refinements, the FZP II T PA can be used in thin boards from 8 mm thickness.”
During the construction of the new office building at the Delta Holding headquarters, the anchor was used with a 5 mm embedment depth in approximately 8 mm fiber cement panels from SwissPearl. By setting the anchors on the back of the panels using undercut technology, the position in the facade panel can be optimally selected from a structural perspective. This prevents deflection of the fiber cement panels. The form-fitting and expansion-pressure-free anchoring, together with the structurally optimal fastening of the anchors, ensures high holding forces and enables the use of large panel formats. For the drilling work with CNC drilling machines, fischer undercut drill bits FZPB 11T CNC-DIA from the fischer complete system for VHF fastening were used. These ensure optimal cutting performance through polycrystalline diamonds, are part of the fischer FZP II undercut anchor approval, and are suitable for drilling in panel materials (HPL, fiber cement, etc.) using dry drilling methods.

To securely transfer the loads of the facade substructure into the concrete supporting structure, the fischer bolt anchor FBN II 12/10 made of stainless steel was also used. The heavy-duty anchor allows for particularly economical fastening. Its long thread and two anchoring depths also enable flexible use.
