From 2018 to 2020, House 23-24 was developed on the 5.5-hectare urban quarter under the clientship of EUREF AG (Berlin). The responsible architect and client representative was EUREF Consulting Gesellschaft von Architekten und Ingenieuren mbH (Berlin). The general contractor commissioned was the WOLFF & MÜLLER Group headquartered in Stuttgart. The new building has approximately 18,000 square meters of total area. Of this, GASAG AG, one of the leading energy service providers in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, uses about two-thirds as its new headquarters. The new occupant on the EUREF Campus focuses its range of services for gas, electricity, and heat supply primarily on renewable energies and efficient technologies.
Also pioneering is the sustainable, ventilated curtain wall facade of the new GASAG AG headquarters. Johannes Tücks, Board Member of EUREF AG and Chief Architect of the EUREF Campus Berlin and Düsseldorf, states: “Sustainable architecture must be considered in the details throughout the entire chain from production, durability, to dismantling and recycling! Here, as architects, we rely on partners who develop and offer convincing solutions for us.”
