Firmly anchored in China

China has been investing intensively in the expansion of its infrastructure for many years. This also includes the expansion of the rail network for local transport. Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission approved a comprehensive program for the further expansion of several metropolitan S-Bahn and U-Bahn systems, including in Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, and Ningbo.

The fischer group of companies, as a specialist in fastenings for energy systems, communication systems, fire protection technology, evacuation walkways, as well as wind and hydropower systems, is actively involved in many of these projects through its Chinese subsidiary. fischer has now also been involved in several projects for the expansion of the Beijing S-Bahn network (Metro), specifically on lines 6, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, the Airport line, and also the U-Bahn line S1. The company had previously been involved in the construction and expansion of rail transport routes in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuxi, Wuhan, and other metropolises, establishing a leading position and extensive experience in this field.

One of the most commonly used products is the fischer Zykon undercut anchor FZA. In the Chinese rail projects, this anchor is primarily used for fastening brackets for cable conduits, especially for brackets for overhead lines. The anchor ensures form-fitting connections and maximum safety with its special undercut technology. After being inserted into the drilled hole, the expansion sleeve is driven over the cone using the FZE Plus setting tool, filling the undercut drilled hole form-fittingly.

For anchoring the important evacuation walkways in the tunnel tubes, the fischer Highbond anchor FHB II is used, optionally with the suitable injection mortar or the quick and easy-to-process mortar cartridges. When setting this anchor, which is available in a short and a long version, the cones of the anchor rod are pulled into the mortar shell, which braces itself against the drilled hole wall.

In underground projects, many cable routes need to be installed, such as electrical cables or ventilation pipes. In Chinese S- and U-Bahn projects, the fischer SaMontec installation system proves to be versatile. Particularly installation-friendly is the FUS push-through system, which makes welding or drilling unnecessary. The design combines screw, washer, rail nut, and spring mechanism in one component.

From the individual components of the SaMontec system, fischer has developed a highly flexible installation grid. In addition, the system meets all fire protection tests for the fire-safe installation of single cables and pipe routes. fischer’s commitment goes beyond selling products and systems; it also offers its Chinese builders comprehensive service. Each project is managed by a professional team that supports customers and partners until project completion.

The services include system pre-selection, design consultation, assistance with contract compliance, guidance during on-site installation, as well as project review to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines.
