With its permissible load of up to 2.4 kN, the low anchoring depth (in some cases only 25 mm), and the small drill diameter (6 mm), the FNA II combines safety with ease of installation and is frequently used in tunnel construction. The expansion clip provides the nail anchor with firm hold as soon as it is inserted into the drill hole, preventing it from falling out during overhead installation. The anchor can then be fixed quickly and easily by impact installation. The massive shaft cross-section ensures high load-bearing capacity. Under load, the installed nail anchor expands independently.
Thanks to its high load capacity in concrete, the FAZ II is also ideal for applications in tunnel construction, such as anchoring substructures for fire protection boards. According to the new ETA, the tensile and shear load capacities have been further increased (sizes M8 - M12), allowing for fewer fastening points and lower costs. Its variable anchoring depths (sizes M8 - M16) can also be adjusted to the loads with millimetre precision. When tightening the nut, the conical bolt is pulled into the expansion clip, clamping it firmly against the drill hole wall. The loads are immediately transferred into the concrete, achieving maximum load-bearing capacity. Both the FNA II and the FAZ II have ETA approval as well as fire resistance class R 120. Both steel anchors can be installed not only by pre-installation but also by through-installation, which is advantageous when installing groups of anchors. Small axial and edge distances additionally facilitate processing.
