The Galerija Belgrade is located on the promenade of the Sava River, just before it flows into the Danube. The client is a joint venture between the Serbian government and Eagle Hills, a private investment company based in Abu Dhabi, focusing on real estate and community development. The complex covers a total of around 300,000 square meters over three levels, including 146,000 square meters for commercial purposes and 3,600 parking spaces. A vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, and cafés for all generations is intended to make the centre an attractive destination for locals and tourists alike. Cinemas and event halls are also part of the concept.

Quality and service are right
Since construction began in September 2017, the fischer group of companies has delivered a wide range of products and systems to Serbia through its national subsidiary in Austria to carry out many different assemblies and installations in the concrete load-bearing structure as well as in the installed hollow bricks. For fastening heavy pipes, the fischer bolt anchors FAZ II and FBN II in various designs were used. Anchor design and numerous pull-out tests were also part of the service scope. In addition, the media pipes were almost completely fixed with fischer installation systems. "More than 55 kilometres of our FUS and FLS rail systems including all system components as well as additional accessories were used for the technical building equipment," says Slavoljub Vukčević, Technical Advisor of the fischer national subsidiary in Austria. "Our pipe clamps FRSM and FRS were also used for pipe fastening. The customer also processed more than 35,000 of our FRSP clamps together with our steel anchors EA II and FAZ II to install the sprinkler systems." This wide range of fastening and assembly solutions from a single source accelerated the installation of the pipes in the technical building equipment, simplified assembly, shortened construction time and consequently reduced project costs.
About 70 percent of the fire protection was implemented by the contractors using the fischer FireStop range, thereby increasing safety for people, property, and infrastructure in the event of a fire outbreak. Numerous fastening products from the fischer group were also used for the fastening of railings, facade elements, aluminium applications, and steel constructions. "These products included around 8,000 FH II high-performance anchors and over 30,000 FBN II bolt anchors, more than 9,000 long-shaft dowels SXRL as well as chemical anchors, such as the injection mortar FIS AB with threaded rods available in Austria," adds Alen Ilic, Technical Advisor at the Austrian national company of the fischer group.
"There were several reasons why the clients chose our products," says Christian Greicha, Managing Director of our Austrian national company. "On the one hand, the decision-makers were impressed by the price-performance ratio and quality. The wide range of fastening solutions was as convincing as the technical support and on-site service. The good cooperation with the regional dealers was also highlighted.
